Master’s Degree in Quantum Engineering

A master’s combining quantum theory with the engineering and computational skills the field actually uses.

The master’s is designed for graduates of physics, engineering, computer science or mathematics who want to work in quantum technology rather than only to read about it. It combines taught coursework with a research project inside one of the pillars.

Programme structure

  • Core coursework: quantum mechanics, quantum information, computational methods.
  • Electives aligned to a pillar — algorithms, simulation, software and control, or foundations.
  • A research project with a centre supervisor.
  • Thesis and defence.

Entry

A bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field. Programming experience is strongly recommended. Applicants from outside physics are welcome; a substantial part of the work is computational.
