Chiang Mai University has two quantum centres. They share researchers and a great deal of research. They do not share a remit.

Which one do you need?
- You have an optimisation, simulation, modelling or algorithm problem — CEQT. Start at the capability matrix.
- You need something measured to extraordinary precision — gravity, magnetic field, time, acceleration — RCQT.
- You want a quantum instrument designed or built — RCQT, with CEQT on the control and software side.
- You are a student choosing a degree — the quantum engineering programmes are run here, and cover both.
How the two sites fit together
Neither site repeats the other. Where a subject belongs to the sensing and metrology mission it is described on the RCQT site and linked from here; where it belongs to computation it is described here. Several researchers appear on both, because several researchers work on both. Where a theme genuinely spans the two centres — defence and security applications, for example, or the researcher pipeline — each site carries its own half and points at the other.
