Visiting professorships, research appointments and administrative posts.
Visiting Professor
The centre appoints visiting professors under CMU protocol. The appointment covers a defined term with agreed research, teaching and supervision commitments, and carries institutional support for the visit. Terms of reference and the university protocol are available on request.
Who this suits: established researchers in quantum computation, quantum information, computational physics or applied mathematics who want a sustained connection to a group in Southeast Asia rather than a single seminar visit.
Quantum Researcher
Research appointments are advertised as projects are funded. Candidates with strong computational skills alongside quantum theory are of continuing interest to the centre regardless of whether a post is currently advertised — a speculative approach with a CV and a short statement of interest is welcome.
Administration
Administrative posts cover business administration, general administration and academic affairs, including project management, procurement and student affairs support.
How posts are advertised
The three headings above are the kinds of appointment the centre makes. An individual funded post is advertised with its own closing date, here and through the Faculty of Engineering’s recruitment channels, once its funding is confirmed. Until one appears, a speculative approach is the right move rather than a wasted one.
